Our Writing Retreats & Challenges were born from a simple realization: sometimes you don't need another craft book-you need time, structure, and a few friendly faces who are in the trenches with you.
Retreat days are straightforward on the surface: a quiet space, long stretches of focused writing, and built-in breaks to compare battle scars and small victories. In practice, they feel like hitting a reset button. You arrive with scattered notes and half-finished scenes; you leave with pages you didn't think you were capable of producing in a single day. We mix solo writing blocks with gentle check-ins so you stay accountable without feeling pressured.
Our writing challenges run on the same spirit but fit into real life. Sometimes they're timed sprints-twenty minutes, pens moving, no tinkering allowed. Other times we lean into themed prompts designed to stretch a skill: sharper dialogue, richer setting, tighter pacing. We track progress together, cheer each other on, and laugh about the days when the words just don't want to come.
Woven through all of this is organic author networking. Over coffee and page counts, members swap beta reads, compare publishing experiences, and occasionally hatch new collaborations. A weekend retreat might connect a memoirist with a fantasy writer who becomes her favorite early reader; a month-long challenge might be the push someone needs to finally type "The End."
If you're feeling stuck, burnt out, or simply tired of wrestling with your draft alone, these retreats and challenges turn writing into a shared effort. You still have to put the words on the page-but you don't have to do it by yourself.
